Natalie, owner of a small NYC apartment, hired us to update her bedroom and provide much needed closet space. During the consultation we learned Natalie’s style, preferences and desired colors. Our design team provided Natalie with 3D renderings of what her room would look like with several suggestions to optimize vertical space. Natalie was excited when she reviewed our proposals. The makeover included replacing the king size bed with a queen. We used a modern frame which did not require use of a box spring and provided 18 inches of under bed storage without compromising comfort. We built a custom headboard with shelving and cabinets for ample storage and a perfect fit all around the bed. The flat paint on the walls was replaced with high quality semi-gloss paint for durability and a beautiful sheen. We selected velvet and silky textures for the window dressings and accents in Natalie’s favorite colors. The bedding and light weight area rugs were replaced. We changed the lighting to brighter LED recess ceiling lights.
